The Cisco ASR 9902 is a two-rack-unit (2RU) fixed-configuration router that brings ASR 9000 Series capabilities into a small footprint. Its fixed board supports a maximum of 800 Gbps of data bandwidth across integrated QSFP-DD, QSFP28, SFP28 and SFP+ ports, all with MACsec support. It runs the same 64-bit Cisco IOS XR software image as other ASR 9000 routers and includes dual redundant Route Processors, integrated switch fabric, redundant power and redundant fans. Typical roles include Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), Internet edge, peering and aggregation for 4G/5G networks.
