It runs Cisco IOS XE and combines two Gigabit Ethernet WAN uplinks (one GE plus one GE/SFP combo) with an 8-port managed Gigabit Ethernet LAN switch that includes PoE ports. This C1111-8P-HSEC-VPERF configuration adds the VPERF performance license (raising IPsec throughput to roughly 250 Mbps on the 8-port platform) and the HSEC license, which removes Cisco's export-grade encrypted-throughput limits for maximum crypto performance.
