The Dell PowerConnect 8024 is a high-density 10 Gigabit Ethernet Layer 3 managed switch built for data center, aggregation and unified-fabric deployments. It provides 24 x 10GBASE-T RJ-45 ports plus four SFP+ combo ports (10Gb/1Gb) for fiber uplinks, delivering up to 480 Gbps of switching capacity with a 32,000-entry MAC address table. The switch supports full Layer 3 routing, stacking of up to six units, out-of-band management and redundant power supplies in a 1U rack-mountable chassis. Firmware 4.2 and later adds FCoE FIP snooping.
