The Cisco DS-SFP-FC4G-SW is a shortwave (SW) Fibre Channel SFP transceiver for storage area networks. It transmits at 850 nm over multimode fibre using a VCSEL laser and a duplex LC connector, and supports 1, 2 and 4 Gbps Fibre Channel for backward-compatible, mixed-rate SAN fabrics. Built to the FC-PI-3 specification with SFF-8472 digital optical monitoring, it plugs into Cisco MDS 9000 Series switches and 4G line cards.
