The Cisco DWDM-SFP-4612 is a 1000BASE-DWDM SFP (mini-GBIC) transceiver module for Cisco Ethernet switches and routers. It uses a DFB laser transmitter operating at 1546.12 nm on the ITU-T 100 GHz DWDM C-band grid and a PIN photodiode receiver, supporting 1.25 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet and 1G Fibre Channel over single-mode fibre for distances up to 80 km. With a 24 dB optical budget, dual LC connectors and digital optical monitoring, it uses dense wavelength-division multiplexing to combine multiple wavelengths on a single fibre pair.
