Its IP67-rated enclosure withstands harsh outdoor environments, and it can be powered by 802.3af/802.3at Power over Ethernet. The 1540 Series is managed by Cisco wireless LAN controllers (Mobility Express or centralized) and includes IoT-ready capabilities. The "-K-K9" denotes the regulatory domain and cryptographic image; "-RF" indicates a Cisco Remanufactured/refurbished unit.
