Built as a 30 AWG Twinax assembly, it provides a low-cost, low-power and low-latency alternative to fibre optics for short-reach 10GbE connections between switches and servers within a rack or between adjacent racks. It is hot-swappable and complies with the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement.
