The Cisco Aironet 1500 Series Power Injector (AIR-PWRINJ1500) provides inline power to Cisco Aironet 1500 series outdoor mesh access points. It increases wireless LAN deployment flexibility by combining 56-VDC power from an internal power supply with the data signal and sending both to the connected access point over a single shielded, outdoor-rated Ethernet cable. This dedicated 1500-series injector is required to supply adequate inline PoE; other power injectors, PoE switches, and 802.3af sources cannot provide sufficient power for these access points.
